Twelfth Labour Cabernet Sauvinon

Cabernet SauvignonReserve

2016 St. Helena, Napa Valley

This rich, dark wine has an expressive bouquet of blackberries, lavender and mint. The flavors include cassis, black cherries and wild blueberries, with undertones of cedar, licorice, and dark chocolate.

The grapes used in our 2016 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon are from the Ruston Family Vineyard, 3.6 acres of organically farmed grapes grown on the hillside west of St. Helena in the Napa Valley.
The vineyard has a complex mixture of gravelly, rocky alluvial and volcanic soils with three different exposures. The site is sunny and hot during the day and cool at night, which extends the growing season and brings the fruit to full ripeness.
Twelfth Labour Chardonnay

Chardonnay

2017 Russian River Valley
Napa Valley

This is an opulent, luscious, expressive Chardonnay, rich but perfectly proportioned. The wine’s flavors include pears, Golden Delicious apples, orange peel, butter, honey and marzipan.

The grapes used in our 2017 Chardonnay are grown at the seven-acre Sophia’s Vineyard, located ten miles from the Pacific Ocean near the town of Graton, where the Coast Range slopes down to meet the Santa Rosa/Russian River plain. The vines are the Old Wente clone of Chardonnay, planted in the 1970s by Sonoma viticultural pioneer Warren Dutton.
This area, the Green Valley District, is the coolest part of the larger Russian River Viticultural Area. The warm afternoon sun produces rich, full-bodied wines while the foggy mornings and cool nights preserve the wine’s freshness and crisp finish.
